Hi, I like the intensity of the colors, without being too much, I think the different tones of red are well balanced. The drawing itself has a powerful expression, the lines have movement, I can feel it's ready to attack at any moment. I also like the eye, which has a different color that makes it stand out, it has some kind of human expression of anger. The whole drawing shows a good technique, i like very much the jaw and the teeth, they are well proportioned, maybe the ears have something weird, dont know what, it could be that they are "resting" and not "up", they're in a kind of relaxed position.
Something interesting, about the title, I feel that the wolf is going to defend from something, more than being hunting something, maybe because the position of its body is not like stepping forward, it's more like "standing my ground", like defending its territory, as i feel it. But that isn't taking away it's power, it doesn't make it more vulnerable at all, and that could work as a message.
